Zona Franca Santander is "The Best Free Zone of Latin America and Caribbean 2016": fDi Magazine- Financial Times.

Zona Franca Santander is yet again the role leader in the Ranking of "The Global Free Zone of The Year 2016" of fDi Magazine, special publication of the British newspaper Financial Times, which this year was awarded in 5 different categories and being the owner of 2 awards for BPO and Outsourcing:

Awarded Best Free Zone of the Americas and Caribbean. Awarded Best Free Zone of South America. Awarded Best SME Free Zone. Rewarded for Training, Education, and Skills. Rewarded for New Investments.

This is a ranking where an extensive study is done to be able to find free Trade zones with the greatest potential for future investment, through the analysis of net number of companies installed, job creation, expansion projects, investment levels and strategies that take different Free Trade Zones worldwide.

Under these criteria, Zona Franca Santander stood out against the other 60 FTZs included in this study at global level, for attributes like "great potential in sectors such as energy, health and global services as well as manufacturing and logistics. What most impressed the judges is the job opportunity and growth offered by companies established for the young human talent in the region to train them in different sectors and make it become the most successful region in the future, "said Courtney, fDi Magazine editor.
